Elvis please make the snow go away!

I used my recently drafted cap sleeve shirtdress pattern to make myself a day dress as the temperature goes below -20 and spring can't come fast enough. Oh well, I'll just sew myself out of the January funk.

Maybe you notice a considerable difference in image quality? Yes, that's right! I'm now shooting with a digital SLR camera! Yippiie!

  1. That's a beautiful dress design! I'd snap that up in a second. And the print is so fun! Great job, and I hope it does speed up this winter :)

  2. Love it! In the first two pictures I couldn't tell it was Elvis, it's like a fun surprise you don't notice until your close up.

  13. Very cool! How weighty is that fabric? I'm wondering how heavy a cotton it's okay to use on a shirt dress.

  14. I'm so glad I found your blog! I've been admiring this dress for a couple months now and am so glad you posted the patterns you used as inspiration so I can MacGyver a shirt dress of my own!
(BTW, didn't know you had your own line of cloths and, FYI I'd totally buy this exact dress from you if you ever added it to your collection!)
