Summer's accomplishments

A crashed computer and HOURS of pattern grading has kept me from posting anything in weeks. Sorry! I've missed the blog...

Although I haven't spend much time in front of the sewing machine in the last few weeks I have managed to finish some projects.

Re-made blouse ($3 from Goodwill!)

Knitted bolero.

My version of below pattern.

  1. I love the pink dress! Great job :) I am working on the same pattern right now but I am doing view C (without the border print fabric). I have some questions about making the bust fit right if you are able to help. I really appreciate it!

  2. I'd love to help! Let me know what you need help with. Are you doing a larger or smaller bust adjustment? Are you having any particular issues?

  5. Thank you Radka! It took two evenings to make the pink dress, so I think I spent about 6 hours on it.

  7. I need the bodice to be longer and have more room in front but still be fitted. I took in the side seams by sewing a larger seam line (I'm doing this in muslin!) to make the sides fitted but then it is too tight across the bust and still about 2 inches too short to cover my bust properly. And there is the problem of having the bust darts match the seams in the skirt after these adjustments! Thanks for your help :)

  8. What I would do is to re-draw the pattern. Add length to the bodice by cutting the pattern midway between the neckline and upper bust measurements and add whatever measurement necessary.

As for the fuller bust adjustment I would check this link out:

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions!
